Created for violinists seeking a brilliant sound with increased overtone resonance and projection, Larsen Strings’ new “Il Cannone Silver” string set focuses on clarity and power of the upper register in particular. 

Notably, the set includes two E strings. One is the bold “Silver E,” which does well for assertive tonal presence, and the other is the focused “Caprice E,” which is ideal for violins that would benefit from added brilliance. Both E strings use carbon steel and feature a removable ball end. 

Crafted in Denmark, using innovative technology and high-quality materials, the set was developed in close collaboration with artists across Europe and North America. The set’s D and G strings are wound with high-grade 99.85% pure silver flat wire for durability, exceptional brightness, and purity of sound, while enhancing richness and color in the lower range.

Lastly, the A string is built on the same high-grade synthetic core as the D and G strings and is wound with precision aluminium flat wire.
