The Queensland Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Principal Second Violin. The full-time, permanent position offers a salary range of $106,187 to $111,018 AUD per year plus 12% superannuation, instrument upkeep, and clothing allowances.

Shortlisted candidates will be selected based on recorded auditions and invited to complete a pre-trial period with the orchestra. Applications to the position are due by February 6, 2026.

The Queensland Symphony Orchestra is currently based in the Queensland Performing Arts Center in Brisbane, Australia. The only professional symphony orchestra in the state of Queensland, the orchestra has been in existence since 1947, and it has been under the direction of Music Director Umberto Clerici since 2023. In addition to regular performances in the Queensland Performing Arts Center and other local venues, the orchestra presents a chamber music concert series featuring select orchestral musicians.
